The House of Arden Story.

How a simple but powerful idea became one of the Midlands' leading home staging companies.

In 2017, Sarah - working as a Branch Manager at a leading estate agency - noticed a pattern: empty properties were harder to sell, took longer to attract buyers, and often sold for less than they were worth or had been valued at originally.

This wasn't just happening in her branch, but right across the board. Every branch reported the same story. To be clear, the properties would all end up selling, but the difference in time scale and sale price between empty and staged was too big to ignore!

She had a simple but powerful idea: What if we could help buyers picture themselves living there by creating a lifestyle theme?

In countries like New Zealand, Canada, USA & Australia home staging is standard. But in the UK, we don't tend to do it. Why would it work so well there and not here?

She pitched the idea to Maria, the agency's Marketing Manager, who immediately saw how this could transform the way properties were marketed. Together, they brought that idea to life.

From a young age I had a creative imagination and would love re-arranging the furniture in my doll's house. When I noticed how empty properties struggled to sell during my time as a Branch Manager at a leading estate agency, I knew there had to be a better way. That's when House of Arden was born.

I've always had a passion for interiors ever since I can remember! When Sarah took the idea of home staging to Jon, I knew this was something special that I wanted to be involved with from the start. Together, we've transformed hundreds of properties.
